tulips at their best in the cold

It is the end of May and it has been really cold.  The temperature goes down to near freezing some nights, and we are far from wearing shorts during the day.  The weather in my home province of Ontario has already reached 30 degrees, but I'm not really jealous.  The cold weather on PEI means my tulips are still faboulous, whereas theirs have been cooked by the hot weather.
So I'm going to brag up some of the lovelies around my garden.
this double has come up faithfully for many years

even as these tulips fade, they are still kinda funky

This Blueberry Ripple seems to have a petal attached to the stem and the flower
a gentle blend of yellow and orange
This fringed tulip languished on its own for many years, and has now finally divided into three blooms and looks better than it every has before.
